AI telemarketing bots listen to voice responses and instantly play adaptive script audio to hold seniors on the line.
Enabling free carrier call screening (Silence Unknown Callers) routes unverified numbers straight to voicemail.
The protocol
- Enable 'Silence Unknown Callers' or carrier spam protection (e.g. Verizon Call Filter, AT&T ActiveArmor, T-Mobile Scam Shield) on your relative's phone.
- Add all family members, doctors, and trusted contacts to the phone's official Contact List.
- Place a small card next to the landline/mobile stating: 'If you don't recognize the number, let it go to voicemail.'
- Register landline and mobile numbers on the official Do Not Call Registry at DoNotCall.gov.
