Automated screening typically looks for completeness, relevance, and clarity — the same things a human interviewer needs, expressed in features a system can measure. Answers that ramble or leave out the result score poorly with both.
The preparation is also protection: if a recorded answer is scored badly for reasons that have nothing to do with your ability, having a written, structured version of your answers is what lets you ask for a human review or an alternative format.
The protocol
- Pick three stories from your work that show a decision, a conflict, or a result. Write each in situation, action, and outcome sentences.
- Cut each story to the length the format allows — usually 60 to 90 seconds of speech — and read it aloud with a timer.
- Practice the logistics: camera at eye level, quiet room, notes off-camera if allowed, and a stable connection. A good answer recorded badly scores badly.
- Prepare a short, plain summary sentence for each story in case a written field has a character limit.
- Ask about an accommodation or an alternative format if the tool disadvantages you because of a disability, a language difference, or access to equipment.
What the tool does
Build three structured stories for an automated interview stage, with timing and logistics you can practice. It runs in this browser; nothing is sent or stored.
Limit first: This is a preparation aid, not a guarantee about any assessment system. Automated screening tools vary, and none of them can be reverse-engineered from the outside.
Open the companion tool →One human next step
Ask for a human conversation after the automated stage if the outcome is unclear, and keep your structured answers. If a rejection appears to come from the automated screening rather than a person, that is a legitimate thing to ask about in writing.

AI-assist path: not used for a verdict. This prepares the reader's own material; generating interview answers would remove the very substance being assessed and would misrepresent their work. §6.10: not a frontier-pace topic.
§0.5 protection result: category is job-skill-disruption; crisis-adjacent: no; fear/urgency/scarcity toolkit used: no. The protective function is free and the paid feature is convenience only.
