Name the task in one sentence. If you cannot say why the input is needed, do not paste it yet.
Open the companion tool →Why this matters
A consent brief is not a legal contract and it does not need to be perfect. It is a small pause that makes the purpose and tradeoff visible. If the answer is unclear, redact, use a fictional example, choose a local tool, or ask the data owner first.
The app does not inspect a provider’s backend. It helps you ask the provider and your organization better questions without requiring you to paste the sensitive material itself.
The protocol
- Name the task in one sentence. If you cannot say why the input is needed, do not paste it yet.
- List what the input reveals: identity, health, finances, workplace confidential information, location, voice, image, or another person’s story.
- Ask what the provider and your organization say about retention, training, human review, access, and deletion. Record the date and policy version.
- Choose the least revealing route that still completes the task: redact, summarize, fictionalize, process locally, or ask a human.
Consent is a decision record
A ready brief shows purpose, sensitivity, audience, retention questions, and a safer substitute. It does not label a provider safe or unsafe and it never needs the original sensitive text.
Limit first: This is not legal advice, a privacy audit, or a guarantee that a provider will delete data. Do not paste the sensitive material into this tool or any other tool while deciding.

Read the provider’s current privacy and enterprise terms, then ask the data owner or privacy contact before using another person’s information.
Research log and safety checks
AI-assist path: not used. The point is to avoid sending the sensitive input to another model before consent is clear; a structured, local brief is the safer artifact. §6.10: not a frontier-pace topic.
§0.5 protection result: category is informed-consent-literacy; crisis-adjacent: no; fear/urgency/scarcity toolkit used: no. The protective function is free and the paid feature is convenience only.
