Open the companion tool →Why physical organizers must accompany digital reminders
Voice assistants can issue reminders, but cannot confirm if a pill was actually swallowed or if a dose was repeated.
Pairing simple recurring voice alarms with a weekly physical pill organizer prevents accidental double-dosing.
The protocol
- Use simple, fixed-time voice alarms (e.g. 'Alexa, set a daily alarm for 9 AM titled Morning Medication').
- Use a physical Monday-Sunday pill organizer so there is a visual check if today's pills were taken.
- Never ask AI voice bots for medical dosage adjustments or drug interaction advice.
- Review medication lists with a licensed pharmacist or physician during regular visits.
